Vacancy: Fun Farm High Ropes Instructor

Location: Fun Farm Spalding, High Road, Weston, Spalding, Lincolnshire PE12 6JU

Salary: Dependent upon experience

Reports to: Manager, Fun Farm Spalding

Working Hours: Weekends and School Holidays, other times by prior arrangement

Fun Farm High Ropes Adventure is an outdoor high ropes attraction located at Fun Farm Spalding and part of a mix of family attractions. The outdoor high and low ropes course comprises of 24 rope elements at a platform height between three and eight metres from the ground. A continuous rope roller safety system ensures maximum participant safety and allows zip wires to be an integral part of the course.

 

 

We require part-time High Ropes Instructors to help operate the attraction and provide great customer service. The course will operate mainly on weekends and school holidays between March & November.

 

Previous experience with High Ropes is not needed but enthusiasm for outdoor activity and working at height is highly necessary! All successful applicants will complete an ERCA High Ropes training course and be DBS checked.

 

High Ropes Instructors will:

 

  • Provide great customer service.
  • Complete safety checks on the course and undertake Daily Visual Inspections of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Work inside and outside demonstrating the correct use of PPE.
  • Supervise both children and adults on the course
  • Follow strict safety procedures and timing schedules
  • Be willing to help with other ad hoc Fun Farm duties when necessary
  • Be able to work at weekends and school holidays.

 

Candidates should:

 

  • Be over the age of 18 years or 18 within the next few months.
  • Have excellent communication skills and maintain a smart appearance.
  • Have good customer service skills.
  • Be trustworthy, punctual, and calm.
  • Be able to work under their own initiative as part of the Fun Farm team.
  • Be physically fit, and happy to work at height and outdoors.
